Its Ocean time baby....

The annual ocean trip was a success! We had SO much fun. We arrived on Thursday night and got settled. The room we had was great and the first day I sat and soaked up the sun while doing a little studying since I just started WSU. After majority of the family arrived it was beach, food, drinks and game time. The first night we played an aweseome game of bunko. Then Saturday we woke up and decided as a group to head to Ocean Shores. We went on the go-carts and got ice cream. We then headed over to the beach to ride horses but the kids had to be at least 5 years old and Maya and Naomi really wanted to go. So Uncle DJ to the rescue. We stopped off at a horse riding arena and he asked the owner if they would let the girls go a few laps with the horses. He agreed and let them ride around a few times. It was a wonderful day full of family and love. The Ocean is our happy place.

Maya got to ride with me on the slick track.  It was a blast! No fear!

Getting ready to ride the horses....Maya had to wear an adult helmet if you couldnt guess that by the picture

The girls on the beach.  Maya loved playing in the sand this year and getting dirty.

I love this picture.  My little baby with her little diaper bottom on the beach.  Doesnt get any better than this.

Drinks for Drinks

Joss and I went to "Drinks for Drinks" which was a charity concert our church was putting on.  The charity is called Charitywater and they bring fresh water to third world countries.  They go to lands and help dig wells and teach the people how to use them.  It is an amazing organization that allows people access to their own resources.  Here is a picture of our cute faces at the concert.

Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party

Joss had her family bridal shower today at her Maurm's house.  It was a beautiful day for a shower.  Afterwards we headed downtown to Seattle to meet up with the girls for Caroline's bachelorette party.  Needless to say we were exhausted by the end of it, but we had a blast!

Cousin Kayla

Cousin Kayla was in town and spent almost a week with us.  Maya loved having her at our house! We went out to dinner, shopped, DJ and Kayla went to a movie.  We kept her really busy for the most part.  We miss our family in Oklahoma and wish they were closer.

Holy aka "Hold Me"

There is this wonderful Christian song that Maya loves.  The chorus of it is "Holy, Holy, only you are worthy..." But Maya sings it "Hold me, Hold me..." which I think is so sweet.

Mima's 80th Birthday

Today we went to the zoo to celebrate Mima's 80th birthday.  We actually were able to round up about 90% of the family members which is quite shocking since our family is always so busy.  We had so much fun spending the afternoon at the zoo together.  Maya loved seeing all of the animals.  I think her favorite were the hippos and the giraffe.  Hope we can take her back really soon.

The Lavender Festival

Another successful year at the Lavender festival. We had two new babies with us this year, Sylvia and Layla. For the most part everyone did pretty good. Naomi and Maya loved each other half the time annoyed each other the other half of the time.

We had a total blast and I love how this has turned into a "Ladd" woman's retreat.

We laughed, we cried, we relaxed surrounded by all that lavender...
